Our experience with anesthesia malpractice law and success in many medical malpractice cases makes us qualified to represent you and your loved ones.

Anesthesia Errors

Mistakes made with anesthesia are very serious and more often than not lead to either death or permanent brain damage. There is not much room for error when taking over the breathing and oxygen supply of a patient. For this reason, the professional society that governs the conduct of anesthesiologists has come out with very stringent precautions that must be followed in the operating room to prevent anesthesia malpractice from occurring. We understand these standards of anesthesia management and will determine if they were properly followed in your case.

In some cases of anesthesia malpractice, mandated precautions such as pre-anesthesia visits and physical examinations may not have taken place. In some cases, alarm devices designed to alert the anesthesia team that a patient is not receiving adequate amounts of oxygen may not have been used, were broken or merely ignored - all are serious violations and considered medical malpractice. Blood pressure, pulse and respiration which are required to be monitored by have not been properly monitored.

We have seen anesthesia malpractice cases where breathing tubes were not properly placed by the anesthesiologist, and brain damage to the patient occurred. In another instance, an incorrectly sized blood pressure cuff was used on a young man. This resulted in inaccurate blood pressure readings, which led to brain damage.

No Fee Unless We Are Successful

Our New York anesthesia lawyers work on a contingency fee basis. This means that no legal fee is paid to them unless they successfully handle your case. We also offer a free, no obligation consultation so that we can meet and discuss your case.
